The Fun Fair @ Sungai Buloh

After a tiring day at the MATTA Fair yesterday, we take a quick rest at home before we decided to bring TY along to the fun fair near our place right after that. This is the first time for TY to be in a fun fair and it have been ages since I last went to one. If I remember correctly, the last time I went to a fun fair would be at least 6 or 7 years ago. If you are heading towards Kepong using the Sungai Buloh road, you'll see the fun fair after you pass by the Caltex petrol station on your left but before the Shell petrol station further down.
The Fun Fair Located Just Next To The Sungai Buloh
Main Road

We were there from about 7pm. The crowds has started to build up then. Am feeling so nostalgic when am there... Hahaha... Actually this fun fair is not that bad. It have quite a number of good attraction there. All of us really enjoyed ourselves there.

Entrance to the fun fair is free. But of course you'll have to pay to play the games or to take any rides there. They have a token booth where you'll need to buy the token to for the ride or games in that fun fair. Each token cost RM 2 there. Most of the rides and games there required between 1 to 3 tokens.

If we have "Eye On Malaysia" in Malacca, then we temporary have the "Eye On Sungai Buloh" at this fun fair. Hahaha.. You can see the ferris wheel in the picture above. Unlike most ferris wheel which is fully covered, the ferris wheel in this fun fair is not fully covered. Sorry, I don't have an up close photo for the ferris wheel as I forgot to bring the camera along when I visited this fun fair. But nevertheless, it looks really beautiful when the lights is swithed on at night.

They have bumper car there too. I feel so nostalgic when I saw the bumper car. I used to play that a lot with my friend when am much younger. Now am not sure if the bumper car can move like how it's suppose to be given my much heavier weight now. Will the bumper car able to "sustain" my weight? I don't know as I dare not to give it a try now... Hahaha...

Bumper Car

They also have the spinner ride just like the one that we usually see in Genting Highland Theme Park. It's looks fun that it make me feel like I wanna ride on it as well. But well, with my gal, TY with me I can't ride it.

Spinner

Another attraction in that fun fair will be the Tomahawk that make 360 degree turn just like the one in Sunway Lagoon. Each time it turn, I can heard the people who is riding it shouting "Arhhh" and "Wahhh" making my heart beats faster. Am not sure if adequate security and safety measurement is taken in building this, but am sure I dare not ride on those for fear for my safety.

Tomahawk
There is also the mini roller coaster ride, as well as some for children rides. Not to mention, they have those games booth too like most fun fair have.

The Games Booth With The Gift They Are Offering To The Winner

Well, with that said, I think it's worth to visit the fun fair if you are staying not too far away from the location of the fun fair. It's quite a good place to relax yourself and have fun with your children.

Matta Travel Fair 2011

There is Matta Fair from 11th - 13th March 2011 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC). I went there with my gal, hubby and also 2 of our friend (TKL & KML). We reached there at about 11 am. As we reached there, our friends queue up to get the complimentary entrance ticket as they are the EON Bank Matta credit card holder. I saw there's long queue for purchase of the entrance ticket too which cost RM 3 per entry.

There is long queue at the counter to purchase the entrance ticket

We already have in mind that we wanted to survey on the cruise trip as we have never been to one. As we entered the hall, we saw the Hwajing Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd booth on our left offering cruise tour package. Without any second thought we check out the package there and after a long conversation (at least 30 - 45 minutes) with the sales person there, we decided to sign up for the cruise package there without checking the other booths there.

We have signed up for the 4D/ 3N Star Cruise where they are having the Buy 1 get 1 free promotion. It's the cruise by Super Star Libra departs from Penang. It's a cruise from Penang - Phuket - Krabi - Penang with fullboard meal. The original cruise package cost RM 1895 per person including all the insurance and handling charges but with the Matta Fair promotion, it's now cost only RM 2100 per couple. But then again since I have only 1 children, I have to pay a full rate for my gal. Sigh... In the end, we have spent RM 3k+ just for this cruise package.

But wait, that's not all. We got a free voucher for a ground arrangement 5D/ 4N Beijing + Tianjin tour package. Which mean we can get another holiday trip if we pay for the air ticket!!! Sounds cheap and worth it, huh? But the truth is the air ticket could cost us a bomb!! We did a quick check there for the air ticket to Tianjin, China. It could easily cost between RM 1.5k - RM 1.8k per person for the air ticket alone!!! Sob.. Sob.. Now, don't think I can utilise that voucher unless AirAsia or any other airlines come out with a free ticket promotion or such which I doubts there will be any since there is expiry on the voucher and that is on end of September '2011.

The crowds in the MATTA Travel Fair 2011

A Bad Way To Start Off The Day?

It have been quite sometime since I last update my blog. Well, I have been extremely busy for the past months. But yesterday, I finally decided to tag along hubby and his friends to Matta Fair which is currently held in PTWC.

We have initially planned to leave the house at 7.30am so that we can go for a breakfast together and to arrive at the destination in hope to beat the traffic. But alas, we are out of luck that our car tyre punctured. So we decide to get it repair at one of the tyre shop near the place we took our breakfast.

But unfortunately, upon after checking on the tyre, there is at least 4 or 5 hole on on the tyre damaged by the nails. Two of the punctured holes is too close to each other and thus we are advised to change the tyre instead as it won't last even if it's repaired.

So then, instead of patching up the punctured holes hubby decided to change 2 of the car tyre instead. To cut long story short, hubby's pocket is "damaged" by about RM 350++. Not to mentioned, we do stuck in some slight traffic jam heading towards our destination. That's PWTC where the Matta Fair 2011 is held.

But we are not all that bad luck though. We do manage to get a car park at the Duta bus station car park though we arrived there at about 11am.

Happy Valentine's Day - 2011

It's 14th February today and it's Valentine's Day. I would like to wish everyone Happy Valentine's Day.

I know I have hardly update this blog for the past few month. There is so many stuff that I would like to talk about but I have been extremely busy with my works that I hardly got much time to be in front the computer to update the blog. Anyway, I hope things will get sort fast and I'll be able to blog more.

So, how are you going the celebrate the valentine's day with your loved one? I'll not have any special celebration today as hubby will have a business meeting tonight. Sob.. Sob..

Crafty Art Market - The Bee @ Jaya One

I went to the Crafty Art Market with etsy Malaysia team which is held from 11am till 6pm at The Bee, Jaya One last saturday. Well, it was a last minutes decisions that I decided to go to the Crafty Art Market. I went there with TY. Hubby didn't come along as he is still not back from overseas. I have been "virtually" invited in Facebook by Honey Narasiah of Honey's Hive to this event. Yes, you read it right. Her name is Honey. It is sweet name, isn't it. Anyway, I wouldn't know there is such an event if Honey didn't invited me.

Honey and her stall at the Crafty Art Market.
The one standing next to her is her daughter, Svara.

This is what she have for sale that day
Anyway, the main reason why I decided to go to that Crafty Art Market was to get my custom earrings that I have ordered quite sometime ago. Honestly, am not fond of wearing earring previously because those earring seems heavy and will sort of pull and "dragged" my ear. But now I got hooked to it and can't stop buying them. I simply love earring now thanks to the Honey's Hive.. Hahaha..

The paper quilled earring is really lightweight and the best part is I can choose to custom the design, color down to the hook for the earring. Well, because I really love the earring, I bought more earring when am there. There is buy 3 pair free 1 pair promotion there. But of course, the free pair is of the same or lower value and I can choose the design from the available earrings there. With this purchase, all in all I think I have at least 13 pairs or so of the paper quilled earring from Honey's Hive. :P By the way, apart from earrings Honey do sell photo frame, etc.

The earring that I bought from Honey's at the Crafty Art Market

My collection of earrings from Honey's Hive. There is one more pair
not in picture. And yeah, I know am crazy... :P
Apart from Honey's Hive stall there, I have only manage to take a quick stroll to another 2 more stall as most of the other stall there have started packing and cleaning. One of it is also selling accessories like earring and necklace while the other is more on sewing like purse, pouch, bag or even hair accessories. And again, I DID bought something from both of the stall.

The stall that selling earring and necklace do have an online store in etsy. But I don't quite remember what is the name as they do not give me any name card or sort to promote their etsy store. This stall selling many nice and unique design earrings that made from gemstone like peridot, amethyst or sort. I like the earring there but decided just get some simple earrings from the cheapest range. That's RM 10 per pair. Hahaha... I did bought another pair at RM 15. It is slightly more expensive as the the seller use peridot stone.

The earring that I bought from the other stall.
Just realized that all the earing design that I bought from this stall is the same.
Probably that is the only choice I got from the cheaper range? :P

While the second stall name is 5* Petal Flower. The owner have the etsy account but yet to set up the online store in etsy. She told me she'll set up the stall pretty soon. She is  really a nice and humble lady to chat with. I bought a pair of hair clip from her which cost me RM 5 for a pair of it. I really love the hair clip. It is a love at first sight for me. The color really contrasting well. In fact, I did leave her my email so that she can contact me. Am looking forward to custom hair clips from her ~ it's for my daughter, of course... Just hope that it'll not turn into yet another addiction to me. Hehehe...

The hair clip from 5* Petal Flower.
I love the colour combo.

By the way, do you know that it is the International Buy Nothing Day that Saturday? I would give my support and buy nothing on that day. But too bad I only knew it is the International Buy Nothing Day after I done my shopping on that day... :P

12th World Of Chinese Book Fair (2010)

I have meant to post this few days ago. I thought I posted it to my blog and yet it is still in the "draft" and I didn't realized it.

Anyway, last Sunday morning after we have taken our breakfast, we have our family day out at a book fair. There is an ongoing book fair held at the International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC),  Mines. The 12th World Of Chinese Book Fair is being held from 19th November 2010 till 28th November 2010.

We reach there at about 10am and there is already many car queuing up to enter to the parking area. The book fair open at 11am and since we arrived there early, we just went for a walk around the mall. When it is about time we walk to the entrance and bought the entrance ticket. The entrance ticket cost RM 2 per person for adult. Didn't know it required entrance ticket since I have never been to any book fair prior to this. :P Anyway, no entrance ticket is required for TY. Hehehe... Oh yes, we bump into one of hubby's business partner there also.

There is so many people in that book fair. Kid can easily get lost in the crowds. Honestly, I don't quite understand myself as to why I decided to come for this book fair. Being a "banana" myself, I can hardly read chinese. Probably that explained why I didn't manage to buy even a single book from the tons of book that available there.

There is just so many people there.
Am glad to see there is still many people love reading.

There is tons of book in the book fair.
The book is arranged neatly and is just awaiting for someone to grab it.

Well, I didn't go home empty hand though. It's just so not me if I go home emptied hand. Hehehe... I bought some educational CD-Rom, VCD and DVD for TY. Well, I personally don't quite fond with the idea of TY watching TV or computer even if it is for education purpose. At least not for now. I know she will get "hooked" to it easily. But TY's father (aka my hubby) insisted that we buy some as he believe these programs is far more effective and easier for her to learn.

The educational DVD, VCD and CD-Rom for TY
The I bought a box of oldies song CD. Recently, I have fall in love all over again with oldies. By the way, that oldies song box set is really expensive It cost me close to RM 200 for it!! Hubby on the other hand have bought something for himself as well. He bought the Dragonball and Dragon Ball Z anime box set. Hehehe...
For myself - Oldies song box set. WH's anime box set is not pictured
I really can't believe that I can be such a failure!!! Went to book fair but didn't manage to buy any books. But bought other stuff that I should not buying instead.. Sob.. Sob..

Pureen Stock Clearance Sale 2010

Pureen is having sales again at it's warehouse in Petaling Jaya. If I remember correctly, Pureen will have it's stock clearance sales twice a year. This time round I went to that sales again. I have been a returning customer to the Pureen warehouse stock clearance sale ever since am still pregnant with TY about 2 years ago. Hehehe..

Most of the time, the main reason why I go for the sale is to buy the liquid cleanser and the HAD detergent. I have been using HAD detergent to wash the cloth diaper since day 1 and I have only bought the HAD detergent from the warehouse sales as it is so much cheaper as compared to other places.

Anyway, yesterday I went to the sales again. Yeah, I have never fail to grabs something from the Pureen warehouse sales except for once. That's the previous sales which I have missed. Hehehe... Actually I didn't thought of going for the sales yesterday. I have initially planned to attend a baby wearing gathering at Fabulous Mom in TTDI. But hubby have a meeting to attend at the very last minutes and he only came back from the meeting at about 5pm. Sigh.. Thus, it was a last minutes decision to go to Pureen.

The sale is till 6pm and I reached there at about 5.30pm. In another 30 minutes the place will be close but there is still many last minutes shopper (myself includes :P). I just took a quick glance at the sales area. Most if not all the items placement is still the same just like the previous Pureen stock clearance sales. So I just walk straight to get what I want to buy - the liquid cleanser and HAD detergent.

I manage to bought some liquid cleanser for the milk bottle. But hey, there is no HAD detergent. So I guess it's true that Pureen have stop selling the HAD detergent. Initially I thought they have only stop selling the HAD detergent in powder form. Didn't know that even the liquid HAD detergent is no longer available as well now.

Then I went to the clothing section. Have wanted to get some clothes for TY as she have started to outgrown most of her clothes. But alas, probably it's already late when I reached there. There isn't much clothing left there plus there isn't much of clothing that suit TY size. Anyway, I still manage to grab about 3 pair of clothes for her.

There is timely announcement to reminds shopper that they are closing in so and so minutes and advise all the shopper to proceed to the payment counter. Lols... Upon the announcement, I make a quick move to check out if there is anything new in the sales.

Basically everything is still more or less about the same as the previous sale. But hey, Pureen is offering BPA free bottle for sales as well now. There is glass bottle and the price is quite cheap. I would say it's damn cheap if it is compared to the Pigeon brand glass bottle. If I remember correctly, the small glass bottle cost about RM 10 and the big glass bottle is around RM 12.

The queue to make the payment is quite long. But it's fast as well. There is 28 payment counter available there. Wow, you may just imagine what is the total sales that Pureen can make from this sales alone.

By the way, I did get a free sample for children toothpaste. Wanted to try it out on TY as am still teaching her to brush her teeth.

Anyway, I can't really believe that I actually done my "shopping" at the Pureen sales all for only 30 minutes when I usually will be spending hours there looking around. But this said to be quick shopping have done slightly above RM 100 "damage" to my wallet!! Whatever it is, hubby sure feel glad that I have done a "quick" shopping there as he is bored waiting for me in the car... :P

The last minutes shopper is queuing up to make payment.

There is a total of 28 counters to make payment

This is what I bought. Nothing much.

My New Toys ~ The Iphone 4!!!

Finally, I have collected my new Iphone 4 on Tuesday (26th Ocotober 2010). Hubby have put my name in the waiting list for about 3 - 4 weeks ago with the Digi Specialised Store in Kota Damansara. When the phone arrive, hubby is still in his overseas trip. So finally, last week, hubby is back from his overseas business trip again from China.

He gave a call to that Digi Specialised Store to find out if the phone is available. And yes, it's available for me!!! So hubby brought me along to the store to do the MNP on Monday (25th October 2010). Am switching from Maxis to Digi. Mainly because of the Iphone 4. Also the plan is cheaper and better suit me since am not a heavy phone user.

Finally the following day we went to the centre again to do the registration and buy the phone. We was there at around 8.30pm. There seems to have quite a number of people there enquiring on the new Iphone 4.

Actually I have been a long time Iphone user. I have been using the first (or is it the second?) generation of Iphone which hubby get someone to buy it from US. The phone have served me well. It's still work well now except that the phone started to "cracked" here and there due to accidental drop to the floor not once. But many times!!! Surprisingly, the screen still fine without any crack though... :P

The new Iphone 4 comes with a rectangular solid box. The box is really solid!! Not like those usual paper box. Things is still practically almost the same as what I have in the package like in my "old" Iphone except that the new Iphone 4 do not comes with the Iphone dock. Probably Apple CEO, Steve Jobs wanna cut cost...? The Iphone dock is quite expensive is buy separately actually...

By the way, do you believe it that I still keep everything including the box of my very first Iphone? Hehehe... Maybe I should take a photo of it when am free... :P

The Iphone 4 is pack in this nice solid box.

After the box is unopened.

This an overdue posting. Few days ago, I received this "award" from a sweet mama whom I know from a forum. This is the beauty of a forums. It gathered people who share the common interest together. Credit Card Fraudulent

My credit card issuing bank usually will give me a call to verify on an online transactions. The bank will call me call me almost immediately after I done some online transactions to check if it is a genuine transaction. And most of the time, I'll receive SMS to notify me that my credit card is spent of so and so amount. Pretty efficient, huh?

But this morning I received a phone call from my credit card issuing bank again to check on a transaction. Only different this time is it is on a transaction that is not done by me. After some questioning, the bank concludes that I might be a credit card fraudulent victim.

This "fraudulent transaction" is done this morning at about 8.18am while am still driving and is on the way sending TY to my parent place. I was told that it is paid to 1USA.com. Luckily it is not involving a large sum of amount. In my case, it's only USD 0.99.

Not sure how I got myself into this as I usually only make payment thru paypal. Does this mean that paypal isn't as safe as I thought? I guess I have to be extra careful next time. Don't want to get myself into the same things again.

Anyway, due to this, my credit card is now blocked by my credit card issuing bank. They will be issuing me a new credit card with a different number. This comes as a good news in disguise to me. No credit card means I'll not be able to do any online shopping thus my wallet will have some time to "recuperating" from all the damages done recently. But hey, it also mean I have to look for something else as my "de-stress therapy".

The bank told me I'll be receiving my new credit card in the next three or four working day. But I forseen that I might not be able to do any online shopping for the next one or two weeks as I'll need to do verification again on my paypal account. Hopefully there isn't any attractive sale during this period. Sigh...

By the way, though it's blocked, I have requested the bank to temporary uplifted the block so that I can made payment for my last purchase before it is permanently blocked now. Hehehe...

Arghh!!! I want shopping!!! I'll be missing you, my shopping spree...!!!

Souvenir From France

My dearie hubby, WH have went to France for a business trip recently. While he is there, both of us manage to have some video chat using Facetime, a special feature in the new Iphone 4. Facetime allows us to chat for free but of course, there is pre-requirements for it :-
  • Both must have the Iphone 4
  • Both must be connected via wifi in order for the Facetime to work.
TY is so happy when she can see her daddy on the phone. Hmm... Ok. That's all on the Facetime and Iphone 4. You may just google about it if you really interested to know about Facetime and Iphone4. My posting should focus on the souvenir that I got from my hubby. :p

Come, come, come. Let guess what I got from my hubby as souvenir from his recent business trip. Louis Vuitton aka LV bag? Lols... Things like that can happen only in my dream... Hahaha...

Hubby told me he don't like to queue just to get into the LV shop in Paris. Plus it's not "logic" at all to spend thousands of Ringgit on something that you can get for under RM 100 in Petaling Street. Psst... Psst.. He is just trying to camouflage the facts that he is stingy. But then it's ok. Am fine without LV bag. Hahaha... In fact, for some unknown reason, I just couldn't find the chemistry between me and LV bag. :p

But well, hubby went all the way to Paris and all I got from him as souvenirs from Paris is FRIDGE MAGNET. Even then, I have to request for it. Other wise am 110% sure that he will come back empty hand without any souvenirs for me.

I have developed a new hobby recently. That is to start collecting fridge magnet from all the places me and hubby went. I just love to see the colourful fridge magnet with all the different designs. Whenever I look at the fridge magnet I'll recall what is the memories that I have at that place.

Well, this is a far more cheaper and less expensive hobby as compared to cloth diapering and babywearing. Don't you think so? Hehehe...

This is bought near the popular Eiffel Tower.
It shown an overview of popular spot in Paris.

Spending My Whole Weekend Repacking The Snaps For The Group Buy....

Yesterday it is not quite like my usual weekend. I called up my parent for a "Bak Kut Teh" brunch near my house yesterday. I usually took my breakfast real early in Sunday morning. But yesterday is exception since hubby is not around as he is away for an overseas business trip. Anyway, my parent left after the brunch and I went back home to continue with the repacking of the snaps from the group buy that I have organize end of last month.

I have collected the snaps from Tiny Tapir about a week or so and have started to do the repackaging since then but the progress is really slow. Hardly get the chance to really do the repacking with the busy schedule during weekday.

Finally, I have managed to complete the whole "repackaging" of the snaps process yesterday. I have spent sure a lot of time just to do re-pack of the snap. My whole weekend gone just like that. It seems like I have devoted the whole weekend just for the snaps... Hahaha...

Honestly, I don't think I'll ever organize another group buy for the snaps unless am super duper leisure and have nothing to do. It's no fun to count then re-pack it and seriously it is just too hectic to count the snap piece by piece... :p

Initially I thought of weight the snap then pack. But then, I noticed that the snap is way to light that the weighing machine cannot even detect the weight of the snap if I place only 1 or 2 pcs. Just for your info, the digital weighing machine that I use can only weight items that is 1 gram and above.

With the repacking of the snap done, I can finally arrange some of the order out today. Some will be own collection while the rest will be send by registered post this Friday. At last I can have some of the "Me" time for now... hehehe...

My not so tidy and small "workstation" to
repack the snaps from the group buy.

10-10-10.. Today is special !!!

I just couldn't sleep don't know why. That's why am up simply to blog here.. Today's date is a special date. It's unique because it's 10-10-10!!! A perfect 10 just like in an exam or game. Anyway, just wanna wish everyone to have a perfect 10 in everything they do or wish today.

I remember for last year's special date, 09-09-09, my eldest sister wanted to deliver her baby on that date. But in the end, she didn't make it for that date and choose a different date instead.

Anyway, I think there'll be many baby to be born today too especially for those mommy who choose to undergo the c-sec for delivery. There might be many wedding today too as it's a "perfect 10" today though I didn't receive any wedding invitation for today... :p

Not sure whether will there be anything special happen to me but I do just realized today that few days ago was my 4th ROM anniversary and there isn't any celebration for it at all. Well, hubby is currently not around and I have totally forgot about it. Might have to think of a replacement celebration for it when hubby is back from overseas later.

Now looking forwards to next year's special date. That's 11-11-11....

Review : Envibum AIO Diaper

In picture above is Envibum AIO diaper in green colour.
The two lines that we saw on the diaper body is actually
the elastic to adjust the rise of the diaper.

Envibum is quite a new diaper brand that I come across few months back from a local retailer here. When I read the story about Envibum, it seems to be started of as a WAHM (Dad, grandparent, and other family includes in this case) just like most of the other diaper brand that I know. You may read more about their story HERE.

Being a self-confessed cloth diaper addicts myself and also curious about the diaper, I have bought the preloved diaper off from the FSOT in a local diaperswapper forum here. According to the mama, she have bought the diaper new and she have used it for a few times only. So the diaper that I got is actually in an excellant good used condition.

Style
Envibum is an One Size All-in-One (AIO) diaper with a pocket where you can stuff it with it's absorbency pad to increase the absorbency. The absorbency pad is said to made from 100% cotton fiber for the inner with flannel outer. There is hook and loop on the absorbency pad so that we can actually "attach" it inside the pocket to avoid it moving out of place.
It have a nice fluffy minky outer body but without snap for size adjustment like most common cloth diaper do. And no, they are not a fold-down rise type of diaper either. Envibum diaper is unique as the rise is adjust with the two elastic which is sewn to the front of the diaper.

As for the inner it have unbleached cotton textured which Envibum called it as "absorbency channel". This make it an AIO as the unbleached cotton layer is an absorbent layer itself instead of a wicking layer like other AI2 diapers has.

When I browse thru Envibum website, it seems like it is only available in hook and loop closure style. No snap closure. But then not to worry also as it have laundry tab to reduce lints during washes.

My Verdict (After around 5 - 10 times of usage)

1. Price & Availability
  • The Envibum is listed in a local online store at RM 115 which I think it's quite expensive.
  • The cheapest that I have seen thus far is at RM 85 which is during a promotion sometime ago.
  • Anyway, I personally still find it's quite expensive for this diaper.
  • I found there is actually 3 reseller of Envibum diaper in Malaysia from the Envibum website. They are :-
2. Fitting
  • There is no snap to adjust the rise or size of the diaper. The rise of the diaper is adjusted with the elastic that is located in front of the diaper. If you prefer higher rise then simply pull the diaper up.

  • I like the way how it can be adjust but what I don't like is the rise will sort of shorten abit after that. Just imagine you pull a elastic and when there is nothing to hold the other end it will go back to it's original state.
  • My gal can fit on this cloth diaper like a hipster style cloth diaper.
  • Not sure is it because she is really a tall girl or is it because the diaper have a short rise.
  • The elastic is quite gentle and I don't see red mark on my daughter.
  • But my daughter will have a big bum when she is wearing this diaper though.
  • Probably due to the fluffiness of the minky outer of the diaper and yes, she does looks cute with the big bums. Hahaha...
  • The diaper crotch is rather wide but I don't find it an issue on my gal.
  • Am more curiuos to see how it will looks like on a newborn though. (Anyone with newborn who want to try out this diaper?)
3. Absorbency
  • Envibum have 2 layers of unbleached cotton "absorbency channel" for the inner diaper which is also an absorbent layer.
  • It comes with an absorbency pad for each diaper.
  •
The absorbency pad that comes with the diaper.
You will see that there is velcro at the centre of the absorbency pad.
This is to "attached" to the inner velcro in the pocket so that the absorbency pad
    will stay at it's place.

  • I have read some reviews before I actually bought this diaper off from the FSOT.
  • Most of the reviews that I read previously mentioned that the absorbency is good.
  • Some even said they can use the diaper for overnight when they use 2 pieces of the absorbency pad.
  • I think probably those reviewer have actually use this diaper only on their younger baby. Those babies who are under 4 months old or so or their baby is really a small wetter.
  • The absorbency of this diaper is the part that I HATE most on this diaper.
  • I read that the absorbency pad is made of cotton fiber but am not sure how is the cotton fiber actually looks like or how many layers are there.
  • But one thing for sure, the cotton fiber inside the absorbency pad have actually crumpled to became like a "ball" (a few small "ball") after a few washes causing some part of the absorbency pad have no cotton fiber at all while all the "crumpled" cotton fiber is "moved" to one corner in the pad.
  • Anyway, when use with 1 piece of the absorbency pad, the diaper couldn't hold the wetness for my heavy wetter daughter.
  • Am better off in using this diaper with my own inserts than the absorbency pad that comes with it (at least the inserts that I have in my daughter's diaper stash won't get "crumbled" easily like the absorbency pad do).
4. Colours/ Prints
  • By far, I have not seen Envibum is available on prints.
  • It is only available in a few nice solid minky colour like green, aqua (blue), yellow, pink, red and white.
  • Limited choices of colour if you asked me. :p
5. Overviews

  • What I like about Envibum is the minky outer of the diaper is really soft and fluffy at the same time. It feel so soft and nice to touch it.
  • The hook and loop closure diaper make it a babysitter or daddy friendly cloth diaper as it is easy to use.
  • The hook and loop also doesn't feel very coarse like some diaper too which is a plus point as baby skin wil not be scratches by it.
  • And as I have mentioned earlier in this post, the diaper have 2 layers of unbleached cotton which is textured.
  • Envibum named the texture as "absorbency channel".
  • Well, when I first look at it, the texture looks very much like the kitchen cloth that I bought from a hypermarket near where I lived. No jokes, I really mean it!!

The pinkish cloth on the right is the table cloth that am talking about.
Don't you think it looks very similar to the Envibum "absorbency channel"
that is picture on the left.

  • Personnally I don't quite like this "absorbency channel".
  • Each time my daughter wear the diaper, there'll be this "absorbency channel" texture marks on her bum as well.
  • No red mark on her thigh for fitting but there is mark on the bums. Funny, huh?
  • Poo poo might also trap in between the texture.
  • As on the absorbency pad, there is hook and loop on it where we can "stick" it to inside of the pocket but I don't find it very useful though and at time I find it's annoying.
  • Probably because am still unable to get used to it's idea.
  • The idea of Envibum is we can actually leave the absorbency pad there and use it as a truly AIO diaper (like those all sewn in AIO).
  • They offer us the flexibility to be able to remove the absorbency pad for a throughout and better cleaning for which those all sewn in diaper can't.
  • But do you think you'll want it to stay in the same place all the time when the cotton fiber can get "crumbled"?
  • I use other inserts from my daughter diaper stash with this diaper. The insert will still stay in it's place even there's not hook and look on those.
  • Well, there is also velcro near to the pocket opening too. So the insert will not come out from the pocket easily.
This is how the velcro near the pocket opening looks like.

  • Anyway, overall am fine with the diaper EXCEPT for it's absorbency pad.
  • Hopefully Envibum will do some improvement on it's absorbency pad and they'll keep in mind that there is some toddler who is a heavy wetter (like my daughter).
